Well after two weeks of stressful insomnia, I may have cracked it… I will not say I am a qi gong expert by any means but focusing on your breath and clearing your mind of thought ( incredibly hard to do) does work to put you to sleep. So while I have not been a complete sloth and have done little bits of exercise at home, it is back to basics of healthful eating and exercise. Fall is finally in the air in HK and that means beautiful temperatures to run in. The office and I will be out in full force next week with our running shoes on… In the mean time, tomorrow we are off in Hong Kong to celebrate the Chung Yueng festival, a time when HK people pay respect to their ancestors or family members that have passed away. I will be remembering my grandmother who passed away this summer of whom I have very fond memories of. She was an excellent cook and talented seamstress and just maybe I will get to catch up on a few hours of lost sleep these past two weeks!
